The company was founded in 1964 and built the first and only milk processing factory -at the time- in the region of Drama, northwest Greece, to produce dairy products solely from 100% fresh Greek milk.
Undulated hills, green fields and an extraordinary landscape characterizes the area of Drama. In local farms at this virgin lands the high-quality products of Neogal are born. The relationship between the farmers and Neogal is based on mutual respect that has grown through so many years of cooperation and it is now passed from a father to a son. In 1990 Neogal started to supply cooling tanks to the farmers in order to ensure optimum storage conditions of milk at all stages of the production. All production departments are fully automated to achieve high quality with high capacity and cost effectiveness. Soon an expanding private labeled and branded export activity followed, with partnerships in Europe, USA and Asia. Neogal has a certified quality management system according to BRC Issue 8-Grade A, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 22000 and ISO 14001:2015. The collection of the milk is carried out by privately owned cargo trucks. Every dawn five cargo tanks collect the milk from the farmers and transfer it to the Neogal facilities. Daily quality checks maintain high-quality standards. All products are produced right next to the source of raw milk so the quality can be monitored daily. The traditional ways, the modernization and the importance of respecting the nature leads us to produce excellent quality products with rational use of natural resources.
