Latzimas SA is a family business with a long tradition in the production of olive oil, based in the area of Northern Mylopotamos in the prefecture of Rethymnon Crete, which is a Protected Designation of Origin (P.D.O.) area. They produce their regular and Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil with real dedication to the land of their ancestors and heritage. Latzimas SA choses the best fruit from its olive groves and processes it in their olive-oil press by cold extraction. Subsequently, they store the olive oil in stainless steel tanks and pack it using the most sophisticated equipment, always in accordance with the European Union Regulations and with those of the World Council for Olive Oil. The resulting product has an excellent taste and best quality, preserving all beneficial ingredients of the olives.
Latzimas S.A. is certified by several organizations: BRC – Global Standard for food safety, DQS – IFS – International Food Standard, for bottling of Olive Oil, Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000), Greek Origin (EL 043), Certification and Inspection Organization of Organic Products (DIO), Integrated Management System – Agro 2.1 & 2.2 Standard (MetronCert), Certificate of Conformity, Japanese Agricultural Standard of Organic Agricultural Products.
